Born from a love of the north
Northern Lights Rent was founded in Kuusamo when we noticed travellers wanted to explore Lapland on their own terms – not on scheduled tours. A car gives you the freedom to chase auroras deep into the night, explore the fells at your own pace, or just stop wherever the lake looks the most beautiful.
We are a local, family-owned business. We know the roads of Lapland, the seasonal weather patterns, and what travellers actually need.

Our fleet is serviced, insured and updated for northern conditions. In winter, cars get studded tyres and engine heaters as early as October – before the first frosts. We keep the average age under 3 years, which means modern driver assistants, good fuel economy and reliable starting.
