Three reasons why local service makes the difference on your trip.
Your car is waiting at Kuusamo airport (KAO) at the agreed time – our staff meets you with a name sign. Return works the same way.
Studded tyres in every car from November to April. Snow brush and ice scraper included.
A call to a local – not an overseas call centre. We help with directions and any practical questions during your trip.

Kuusamo airport (KAO) sits about 6 km from the town centre and is the main gateway to eastern Lapland. Daily flights connect it to Helsinki in about 1 h 20 min. From the airport you can drive your rental car directly to the northern destinations without queues or timetables.
The renter must be at least 21 years old with at least 1 year of driving experience (B-class licence). A small young-driver fee applies for ages 21–24. EU/EEA licences are accepted directly, others require an International Driving Permit (IDP).
Yes – airport pickup from Kuusamo airport (KAO) is included in the rental at no extra cost. Give your flight number when booking and our staff meets you at arrival with a name sign.
Nolire switches to studded tyres from early October to end of April. Finnish law requires winter tyres 1 Nov–31 Mar – Nolire equips cars earlier so you never face the first snow on summer tyres.
All Nolire cars are properly insured. For detailed coverage terms and optional extra protection, please contact our customer service before your trip.
Please check with our customer service before your trip. Driving inside Finland is unrestricted – drive freely from Kuusamo to Rovaniemi, Ivalo or southern Finland.
Slow down and steer carefully. If there are several reindeer, more may follow. If a collision happens, call 112 and Nolire (24/7 support). Help the herding district by noting the collision coordinates.
